Local Florist joins a beautiful bunch of Flower Magicians

Local florist Heidi Baker, who runs The Flower Studio, based in Port Erin, will be joining 1000 other Flower Magicians when the flower industry comes together on June 8.

The first ever awareness campaign for the floricultural industry, National Florist Day, will celebrate all that is wonderful about flowers, floristry and of florists and showcase the skill and magic that goes into it.

A week-long ‘Meet the Maker’ showcase starting on June 1, The Flower Studio by Heidi Baker will be sharing stories about flowers, their secrets and top tips to make them even more special, flower giveaways and competitions and of course showing off plenty of her favourite flowers.

Commenting on their involvement in National Florist Day Heidi said: “There is so much more to the flower industry than people thinl, it is a multibillion-pound industry that stretches around the globe and up the road and comes with a lot of challenges.

“Like making sure deliveries are on time, flowers kept in perfect condition and as a UNESCO Biosphere partner I want to make sure this is done as sustainably as possible.

“I have the most amazing job in the world and get to help people on every occasion in their lives. Being part of National Florist Day will allow me to share just some of the magic we create every day and how we do it.”
