Manx Care has received an extra £4.3 million for its mandate budget.
The funds were reallocated from a contingency line within the Department of Health and Social Care’s finances.
The allocation was confirmed by the Minister Claire Christian, in response to a question from her predecessor Lawrie Hooper.
She said the money is “available to contribute towards cost pressures within Manx Care”.
Ms Christian confirmed the full contingency has been assigned “due to the anticipated financial pressures being faced by Manx Care”.
This transfer has increased the health service’s official budget from from £357,513,000 to £361,822,000.
