Manx Karting Duo Lead Championships

Two young Manx drivers have surged to the top of their respective standings after an outstanding opening weekend in the HWE BIM SuperOne Karting Championship.

Ten‑year‑old Charlie Gregg dominated the Rotax InterMax class across both Easter weekend rounds at Rowrah Kart Circuit in Cumbria, delivering a perfect performance on Saturday and Sunday.

He took pole position each day, won every heat, and claimed both finals in commanding style, leaving him unbeaten after the first two rounds.

Leading Championships

Fellow Isle of Man racer Alex McCullagh, 14, also impressed in the fiercely competitive Rotax Junior category.

McCullagh qualified third on Saturday and showed strong pace throughout, finishing sixth and third in the heats before taking fourth in the final.

Improved conditions on Sunday helped him raise his game further. He secured pole position, won Heat 1, finished second in Heat 2, and battled to third place in the final—enough to put him five points clear at the top of the Junior standings.

After two rounds, Gregg leads the InterMax championship by 10 points, while McCullagh heads the Rotax Junior table.

Both drivers now look ahead to Rounds 3 and 4, which will take place in North Wales in early May.
