Manx race walking judge, Steve Taylor, is representing the island at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships in Rio, Brazil.
Taylor, widely regarded as the island’s leading international race walking judge, has already been in action this season, having officiated at a major event in Japan last month.
Local athletics supporter Allan Callow, who shared the update, praised Taylor’s long‑standing contribution to the sport, noting that he has spent much of the past two decades travelling the world as part of the international judging panel.
Callow said Taylor deserves far greater recognition for his commitment to Manx, British and global athletics, describing him as “a great Manxman quietly doing a great job.”
He added that he hopes the wider sporting community will acknowledge Taylor’s continued dedication and achievements.
