Douglas, Vagabonds and Ramsey experienced differing opening weekends as their 2025/25 seasons got underway.
With Vagas and Ramsey on the road, Douglas was the only side to begin their campaign at home.
Playing North Ribblesdale, Douglas won the game thanks to a late penalty try which saw them triumph 26-22.
Ramsey, returning to the English leagues this season, were beaten 33–20 away at Congleton.
Vagabonds meanwhile went down 24-0 away at Burnley, but the club noted this marked an improvement on last season against a side that will be a strong contender come the end of the season.
That game was also cut short after an injury to a Burnley player, with the result called after 60 minutes.
