Perfect 10 For Corinthians

Credit: Corinthians AFC

Corinthians put 10 past Foxdale on Saturday to maintain their 100% start to the new Premier League season.

Capped off by a spectacular breakaway goal, the whites are top on goal difference after wins for Laxey and Rushen.

Corinthians new look (and old look really) attack of Luke Murray, Dan Simpson and Sean Doyle, they were in terrifying form against Foxdale.

Murray helped himself to four goals, Simpson got two, while Doyle got two, including this brilliant team goal.

The other goals came from Deaglan Blake and Oscar Watterson.

Spaniards Triumph

The Old Firm met on Saturday at Croit Lowey as defending champions Peel headed south to Rushen.

Jamie Cadwallader scored late on after goals from Aaron Hawley and Charlie Jackson to leave the Spaniards behind Corinthians on goal difference.

The other side to maintain their 100% start was Laxey as the Miners beat Ramsey 1-3 at Ballacloan.

Phil Dunnigan scored for the home side, but two goals from Matty Ogden and one from Tom Smith saw the 10 men of Laxey take the points back down the east coast.

The other game in the top flight saw Ayre beat Old Boys 4-2 thanks to goals from Jamie Callister, Shaun Kelly, Jed Fisher and Alex Read. Will Kearns scored for the visitors.

Div2

Castletown continued their flying start to Division Two (dangerous being so close to Ronaldsway) thanks to a 10-1 win at home over Douglas Royal.

Alex Crawley and Rob Teare grabbed a hat trick each while Lewis Ollier, Charlie Quirk, Louis Dean and Oliver Leigh each scored one.

Nearest rivals in the battle for promotion Colby beat D&D 4-0 at Station Fields with two goals from Nick Edge followed by one each from Jonathan Croft and Sebastian Spiers.

Elsewere Malew beat RYCOB and Marown won the battle of last season’s relegated sides as they beat St Georges 1-2 at Glencrutchery road.
