The Mountain Road has now reopened after being closed due to snow.
The Department of Infrastructure has had staff on scene all morning snow ploughing and re-salting the carriageway.
The DoI asks members of the public to drive carefully while some snow remains it is expected that it will now dissipate quite quickly.
