The closure of the Mountain Road has been reviewed and extended until midday Saturday.
This is due to continuing very icy conditions on parts of the route.
A further inspection of the road will take place at 9am tomorrow morning to determine whether the road can be reopened or if the closure will need to be extended.
The DoI said: “We are hopeful that tomorrow’s forecast for improving weather conditions (rising temperatures) will allow the road to reopen.”
The Bungalow and Victory Café are accessible from Sulby via the Tholt-y-Will Road ad the Creg Ny Baa is accessible from Douglas and via the Creg Back Road.
