The Mountain Road will close from this morning as the Department of Infrastructure begins a 10‑day programme of pre‑TT works.
The route will shut around the clock from 9:30am today until 3:30pm on April 17 while crews carry out the annual maintenance designed to prepare the course for TT traffic.
The department says the work includes minor resurfacing, rebuilding damaged roadside walls and removing selected trees along the route.
A contingency window from April 17 to 23 has been set aside should poor weather or operational delays require extra time.
The road is expected to reopen on April 17 unless that additional period is needed.
