Manx Utilities says its team has submitted information to discharge all of the pre-commencement planning conditions for approval to the planning department.
Planning permission was granted after an appeal by owners of neighbouring fields for the site land west of Glenfaba Road.
The MUA said: “We are finalising contract terms with our preferred Contractor and completing the acquisition of the land.
“The construction start date is reliant on these activities being completed and the planning conditions being discharged.
“Once these outstanding activities are complete, we will publish a programme for the works along with the proposed date when construction will commence.”
Once completed the works will bring an end to the long tradition of pumping raw sewage into the see off Peel.
