A vacant landmark pub on the main Douglas to Ramsey coast road is set to reopen as a brunch-style café.
The former Liverpool Arms, now renamed the Lonan Arms, has been vacant since its purchase by LA2 Ltd last year.
The property underwent a full renovation in late 2024 after being bought from Heron & Brearley.
LA2 Ltd has now confirmed a lease deal with Jabbalee Ltd, which will operate the LA Brunch Club under proprietors Stephanie and Lee.
The new venue will focus on local ingredients and offer indoor and outdoor seating, with parking available at the countryside location five minutes from Onchan and Laxey.

Lee Moffatt, director of Jabbalee Ltd, said: “We identified a gap in the market for something like this in the Isle of Man. My mother was born and bred on the island in Douglas, and we have strong loyal Manx Connections.
“I have lived and worked here now for 15 years and have two Manx children with my wife Georgia. The island has given us lots and I relish the challenge to now run my own business together with business partner Stephanie at this beautiful building.”
Alan Clague, director of LA2 Ltd, added: “The property was saved after a full renovation at the back end of 2024 when it was purchased from Heron & Brearley.
“The upstairs living accommodation was quickly occupied, and it would have been relatively easy to have put in a planning application for the ground floor to be developed into residential accommodation for a quick LET.
“We were keen however to see it opened again for the public to enjoy and were pleased when we heard a rumour that Lee and Stephanie were looking for suitable premises for their Brunch Club.
“We wish them every success in this new business and know it will be well supported by the community.”
