New Sight Support Hub Opens at Noble’s

A new Integrated Sight Support & Resource Hub has opened in the foyer of Noble’s Hospital, offering dedicated help for people affected by sight loss.

The space, formerly the Macmillan Cancer Centre, has been redesigned to provide private, person‑centred support and easy access to information, equipment and advice.

The hub is led by Eye Care Liaison Officer Lesley Hankinson, who said the facility gives patients and families a welcoming place to talk openly, learn about eye conditions and receive practical and emotional support.

It also allows equipment such as magnifiers and talking clocks to be displayed and demonstrated.

Lesley acts as a link between the hospital, Sight Matters and wider community services, helping people navigate everything from eye‑drop guidance to the certification and registration process for sight impairment.

Sight Matters CEO Catherine Bradley said the hub marks a “transformative milestone” in joined‑up sight loss support, ensuring no one has to face the challenges alone.

The hub will also host information sessions and drop‑ins, with details to be shared on social media.
