The organisers of the Peel Viking Longboat Races have announced that RIELA will sponsor the 2026 event.
Now approaching its 62nd edition, the World Championship Viking Longboat Races continue to draw teams, families, businesses and supporters from across the island for a day celebrating teamwork, heritage and friendly competition.
RIELA has entered teams for many years and says it understands the unique atmosphere the event creates.
Director Robert Tobin described the races as “a fantastic example of the Island community coming together”, adding that the company is proud to support an event that blends fun, tradition and fundraising for local charities.
The longboat races remain a major fixture in the Manx calendar, attracting hundreds of competitors and spectators each year while raising money for a range of Island charities.
Entries for the 2026 races are expected to open in the coming weeks.
