The DoI Minister has confirmed there is no additional revenue funding in the 2026 Budget for the Footpaths, Bridleways and Green Lanes recommendations.
He said no uplift had been secured despite the working group’s report.
The clarification came in response to a written Tynwald question from Douglas South MHK Sarah Maltby, who asked what uplift had been provided and whether related capital funding would be allocated annually over five years.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall MHK said there had been no increase in revenue funding, but the Budget does include £700,000 in capital funding each year for the next five years, covering the period 2026 – 2031.
