Next week, work will begin to refurbish one of the existing disabled toilets on the ground floor of Noble’s Hospital.
Manx Care says this is to create a new ‘Changing Places’ facility.
The works are due to start on Monday (February 10) and complete on March 7.
During this time the current disabled toilet will be out of use, however there will still be an accessible toilet in the foyer area of the hospital.
New Disabled Toilet
Changing Places toilets are designated spaces for those with additional needs who need personal assistance to use the toilet or to change.
They are larger facilities that have the right equipment, including a changing bench and a hoist, designed to support disabled people who need assistance.
The works are being funded from the Noble’s Hospital Patient Comforts Fund.
