The Chair of the Northern Chamber of Commerce says prospective election candidates should be providing a ‘strategy’ to solve problems facing the island.
Keith Dalrymple says he’s seeing ‘more of the same’ statements from candidates but the business community and residents are ‘living through’ these issues.
The chamber would like to see those standing look for private and public partnerships as well as recognition that the economy is on a ‘downward spiral’.
Mr Dalrymple adds that all candidates standing in either Ayre and Michael or Ramsey have been invited to meet the chamber.
