Cowley Groves has announced that the former nurses home flats will be ready for occupation in May or June.
The estate agent is to act as the lettings and managing agent for “Thie Clag” on Westmoreland Road.
The £11m development is the first work to be completed by the taxpayer owned Manx Development Corporation and includes 37 flats and a commercial unit.
When the flats were discussed in Keys in December 17, Chris Thomas (Douglas Central) said that they monthly rental had been estimated to “need to be at least £1,500 per month on average to even just pay the interest” on the loan that MDC took out for the works.
However, Cowley Groves says that rents will start from £795 per month (incl. rates) for a one bedroom apartment.
Registration of interest for the apartments is now open through the estate agent.
