Isle of Man Energy has donated £10,000 to The Salvation Army’s FCA‑regulated Debt Advice Service, helping the charity support island residents facing financial hardship.
A further £5,000 has also been given to the charity’s Community Relief Fund, which provides emergency help such as utility top‑ups and essential household goods.
The Debt Advice Service, launched in 2020, offers free budgeting support, debt guidance and practical financial help. Demand has continued to rise, with the service working closely with local charities, government and health professionals to support people in crisis.
Debbie White, the Salvation Army’s Area Debt Advice Co‑ordinator, said the funding will make “a real and meaningful difference” to vulnerable residents.
Isle of Man Energy managing director Aidan Baglow said the company felt strongly that local businesses should “step up” as the cost of living continues to challenge many households.
