A Freedom of Information request has confirmed that there are 26,684 objects using an @gov.im email address as of May 7, 2026.
However, not all of the 26,684 belong to individual staff.
According to the response, the total includes a mix of user accounts, groups and system resources:
- 11,510 user mailboxes
- 9,671 groups
- 4,949 shared mailboxes
- 554 bookable resources such as meeting rooms and pool vehicles
The figures were compiled within 24 hours of the request being submitted.
