A planning application has been submitted to demolish derelict buildings on Port Erin promenade and replace them with new houses.
The application relates to Collinson Cottages, Nos. 2 and 3/4 Spaldrick, which it says have been vacant for a significant period.
A planning statement says the current buildings are “structurally unsound” and “in poor condition”.
The proposal involves demolition and construction of a replacement building to provide ancillary residential accommodation for the neighbouring Collinson House.
The site is identified on the Unoccupied Urban Sites Register, which the planning statement says “confirms that the site is recognised as a priority location for redevelopment”.
The proposed building would be arranged over three levels, responding to the site’s sloping topography, and would provide two off-street parking spaces.
