The Mountain Road will close next month as the Department of Infrastructure carries out pre‑TT preparation works, including resurfacing, wall repairs and tree felling.
The closure will be in place around the clock for the duration of the works from April 7 until April 17.
The department says the programme is designed to prepare the route for TT traffic, with minor resurfacing, rebuilding of damaged roadside walls and tree‑felling forming the bulk of the job.
A contingency period from April 17 to 23 has been set aside in case weather or operational delays require extra time.
The closure will run from April 7 at 9:30am until April 17 at 3:30pm, after which the road is expected to reopen unless the contingency window is needed.
