Manx Utilities is working to repair to third party damage to a major trunk main on the West Coast.
As a result, customers in Peel, Kirk Michael and Ballaugh are being warned of low pressure and discoloured water.
The section between Devil’s Elbow and Glen Moar has been isolated to allow repairs. Service reservoirs are providing short-term supply, with water being diverted from Douglas to St John’s and pumped west.
Temporary interruptions are possible at peak demand times and the damaged section will require extensive excavation.
Manx Utilities said: “We are doing everything possible to avoid full loss of supply, however temporary interruptions are possible at peak demand times.”
Crews are also managing two other significant main repairs, impacting available resources.
Customers are urged to use water wisely while repairs are carried out as quickly as possible. Further updates will be provided.
