A Ramsey Commissioner says the ‘pros’ of joining a local authority and trying to help the town ‘far outweigh’ the negatives.
Juan McGuinness believes the election process is ‘fundamental’ to democracy on the island and hopes more than one person will stand in the upcoming by-election.
The commissioners’ South Ward currently has one vacant seat left following April’s elections, and those standing have until 1pm on Wednesday, June 18 to submit their nomination forms.
