The Public Services Commission Unite the Union, and Prospect have reached agreement that will allow for a 4% increase to gross pay for the year 2024-25 for PSC employees.
Negotiations will continue with Unite the Union next month relating the second year of the two year offer.
The agreement was signed by all parties on March 28.
This means that from April 1 the monthly rates of pay for all PSC Civil Service, manual and craft employees and all other staff of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture except teaching and lecturing staf.
This also means staff employed under New Terms for New Starters and Promotions (NTNSP) (and public service employees on analogous terms and conditions), shall be increased by 4%.
This will include all pay ranges, pay bands, points on the pay spine and the JESP pay ranges.
Employment
Employees who are employed by the PSC on March 28 will be paid at the new rate of pay with effect from May 1.
Any member of staff who has ceased employment with the PSC prior to March 28 2025, will not be entitled to receive any increase or arrears of pay from this pay award.
Employees who are in the employment of the PSC on March 28 will receive arrears of pay proportionate to the calendar time and hours worked between April 1 2024 and the April 30 2025 to cover arrears of salary owed.
Employees will receive the 4% increase and arrears of pay in May 2025 salaries.
