The new wastewater treatment works that serves the Crosby and Glen Vine area is approaching completion.
Scheduled to be fully online by the end of April, the works will provide improved outflows into the adjacent River Dhoo.
Whilst wastewater is now being treated by the new works, it will take a number of weeks for the process to fully mature.
Water Treatment Works
The works are due to be completed on programme and within budget.
The pipeline linking the new pumping station in Glen Vine to the new works was installed last winter, to minimise impact on Heritage Trail users.
On Time & In Budget
Chair John Wannenburgh MHK said: “I am extremely proud of the work undertaken by the delivery team at Crosby.
“This scheme will be completed in the coming weeks within budget and on time. Even with the finishing touches still to be made such as final road surfacing and landscaping, the site looks great.
“I now very much look forward to seeing a start being made in Peel and have every confidence that scheme will be equally successful.”
