The A3 Ramsey to Castletown Road, at McGuinness’ corner close to Handley’s Corner, Michael, is currently subject to a temporary 40mph speed limit.
This speed limit is to allow a safe environment for road surface repairs to take place.
The Isle of Man Roads Policing Unit says that despite the temporary speed limit, and workers being on the road only meters away, it has once more had reports that the speed limit isn’t being obeyed, and the safety of the workers is being jeopardised.
Following these reports, the unit will be attending the area to perform speed enforcement, and will continue to do so whilst temporary speed limits are in place.
It asks drivers to please obey the speed limits and allow the workers to safely complete their work.
