Manx Utilities says it is continuing to work on an electricity fault in the area of Summerhill.
This fault that led to January 27 has proved to be “unfortunately transient (self-healing) and so has taken longer to locate than usual”.
It added: “The team have now identified the issue and work is underway to fix the fault as well as undertaking a new network upgrade in the area.
“As a result the road closure has been extended to 21 February. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents and road users for their patience.”
