Ballakilpheric Road in Arbory is to close later this month for resurfacing
The work will start “on or about” Monday January 27 and is expected to continue up until Friday 7 March.
There will be a temporary road closure in place during the course of these works with through traffic diverted to the Ballakillowey Road.
Access
The DoI said: “Whilst through traffic will be prohibited, access to all houses and land accessed from Ballakilpheric Road will be maintained from one end of the road or the other during the closure period.
“The most convenient route to any particular property will likely change as work progresses. Work will start at the lower end of the road and progress incrementally up towards the junction near the bottom of the Sloc.”
While it is intended to resurface the whole road, the paver team has to mobilise to other date bound works on March 7.
The DoI said: “Should the whole road not get resurfaced during the planned closure period, the team will return at a later date to complete any resurfacing that has not been achieved.
“Please note that the pace of progress, especially at this time of year is determined to a large degree by weather conditions.
“Residents directly affected by these works will get a letter detailing access arrangements before our team comes to site.”
