If you’re driving along the parts of the TT course today it may feel like you’re finding road works around every corner.
The Department of Infrastructure has waved goodbye to Easter and now starting it’s mission to make the questionable Manx roads ready for the road race.
Stop & Go Signs
Today the DoI will have a lining team refreshing lining on the A1 Douglas to Peel Road.
The team is working from Union Mills, progressively westwards towards Greeba.
The work will focus on lines obliterated by recent road repairs. Two way traffic will be maintained at all times by local traffic control measures, including stop/go boards.
A second team undertaking similar works operating between Cronk Y Voddy and Kirk Michael, again using stop/go boards where appropriate.
Road Works
There will be daily closures between Ballig Bridge and Cronk Y Voddy crossroads in German, between 9:30am and 4:30pm from today until Thursday.
The closures are to allow TT preparations to be undertaken safely (installation of equipment and black and white kerb painting).
The organisers of Friday’s Hill Climb event (Ballig to Creg Willey’s Hill) will also utilise the closures to install all their safety and timing equipment.
Access to residential properties within the closure will be maintained and scheduled buses will be allowed through the works.
