After poor weather postponed yesterday’s planned surface dressing work, the DoI’s contractor is to try again today.
The Principal Contractor, Kiely Bros Ltd intends to surface dress the following roads in the order set out below.
Vicarage Road, Braddan (morning)
A2 Coast Road (School Road to Begoade Road, Onchan) (morning/early afternoon)
Dalby to Roundtable, Patrick (afternoon)
South Quay, Douglas (from 6pm).
The DoI said: “Surface dressing has to be applied in dry conditions. An assessment of prevailing weather and road surface conditions will be undertaken in the morning and this will determine exact start times at each location.
