The Southern 100 Races have given an update on the riders that were involved in last night’s (July 8) red flag incident during the Newcomers lap.
Aiden Clearly from Draperstown suffered an ankle injury during the incident and has since been discharged from Nobles Hospital.
Tralee competitor Anthony O’Carroll was transferred for further treatment to Walton Centre for Neurosciences via Coastguard Search & Rescue Helicopter at 10pm and remains in a critical condition.
The third rider involved was Scariff rider Jaque Foley who was uninjured.
