Sailing Times May Be Adjusted & No Cabins For Passengers

The Steam Packet has outlined how services will run while Manxman remains in dry dock until late September, with Ben‑my‑Chree taking over the Heysham schedule alongside her Larne sailings.

The operator says three Larne services per week will continue, though there may be “some small adjustments” to departure times as the vessel covers both routes.

Because Ben‑my‑Chree was converted into the company’s backup vessel, her former passenger cabins were repurposed to provide live‑aboard accommodation for crew.

As a result, no cabin accommodation is available for passengers during the period of Manxman being in dry dock.

Travellers can still upgrade by booking seats in the Premier Lounge or the Niarbyl Lounge, both of which were fitted with semi‑reclining seating during the vessel’s refit.

A Steam Packet spokesperson added: “Alternatively, passengers can choose to change their sailing to a daytime service or travel on board Manannan to Liverpool.”
