The Search and Rescue Dog Association took part in training with the Coastguard Search & Rescue helicopter, Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service and Civil Defence Isle of Man.
Residents in Peel saw the helicopter landing on the headlands last evening, including Ben Heath who sent us this picture.

SARDA said: “This vital training helps us all get familiar with working around the helicopter – the noise, wind, and sheer presence of it can be overwhelming, especially for the dogs!
“It’s crucial that our dogs and team remain calm and collected in high-pressure situations, so when the helicopter is deployed in a live search, everyone knows how to react, stay safe, and focus on the task at hand.
