Port Erin Commissioners has welcomed the reception children from Rushen Primary School to plant over 1,200 bulbs in Athol Park.
The mixture of bulbs will provide a beautiful colourful display when they flower next year.
Jo Shaw from Rushen Primary School said: “It was lovely to be able to assist Port Erin Commissioners with the project to plant a lovely selection of bulbs.
“Many of the children will know Athol Park and play there, so to be able to see the benefit of their efforts next year will be wonderful.”
Commissioners chair Godfrey Egee added” “It is always a pleasure to welcome the children from Rushen Primary School to help us with projects within the village.
“The fabulous efforts of the reception classes, ably assisted by their parent helpers and teachers, to plant so many blubs over their visits to Athol Park is commendable and I for one cannot wait to see the flowers in Spring and Summer next year.”
