Having left Heysham just before 3am, Manxman is not due to arrive in Douglas until 10am this morning.
This is due to the tidal issues in Douglas which saw the ship run aground over the weekend.
While Manxman would normally have taken around three hours and 45 minutes, this sailing will have taken about seven hours.
The company has reportedly said passengers have been offered free refreshments on board.
Manxman is due to depart again for Heysham at 12pm, following two of today’s sailings already being cancelled and is not due back in the island until tomorrow morning.
As a result of the delayed arrival into Douglas GE White says the papers obviously won’t be in the shops until this afternoon.
