The Isle of Man International Shears is back for 2025, following it’s successful rebirth last year.
This year’s competition will be held at the Guilcagh Farm in Andreas on May 24, with members of the public encouraged to attend.
Organised by experienced shearer, Philip Christian, also known to many of us as Puppy.
In 2023, Puppy competed across the United Kingdom in shearing competitions, including at the World Championships that were held at the Highland Show.
Isle of Man Shears
Last year, the Isle of Man shearing competition was brought back to life, after a hiatus of international shearing on Manx shores.
A lot of work has gone into resurrecting the event for the second year in a row, as well as gaining sponsors who have generously donated prizes.
This year classes include: Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Open, all of which are machine classes.
