Simcocks Marks Major Long‑Service Milestones

Simcocks Advocates is marking a series of significant long‑service milestones this year, with several members of staff reaching between 20 and 40 years at the firm.

CEO Phil Games celebrates 40 years with the practice, while Director David Spencer marks 35 years.

Search Clerk Julie Moore has reached 30 years, Director Irini Newby 25 years, and Advocates Winston Taylor and Kevin O’Loughlin each record 20 years’ service.

The firm says staff retention remains unusually high for the sector. In total, 15 of its longest‑serving employees have collectively amassed 350 years at Simcocks, an average of 23 years each.

Staff Milestones

That includes five staff members with more than a decade at the firm, six with over 20 years, three with more than 30 years and one reaching the 40‑year mark.

The company recently held a staff night out to celebrate the milestones.

Reflecting on his four decades at the firm, CEO Phil Games said he “could hardly believe” how long it had been since joining to complete his articles.

“I have learnt so much and built a career firmly rooted in people, and in providing a reliable service for our clients,” he said. “The best thing about Simcocks, and my four decades here, is the focus on people.”
