The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has bid farewell to on-call fiirefighter Simon Trenholme, who retired from Douglas Fire Station this week after more than 19 years of service.
Simon joined the Service in 2006 and became one of its most experienced on-call members, attending a wide range of operational incidents throughout his career.
Chief Fire Officer Mark Christian presented a commemorative gift at a station ceremony.
His colleagues also presented him with a replica Fire Service axe, and we took the opportunity to thank Simon’s wife, Jane, for the unwavering support she has provided throughout his career.
The service said: “We wish Simon, Jane and their family every happiness and the very best for the future.”
