Full Factory Track Club athletes travelled from the island to deliver a series of strong performances across track events at the Scottish Championships.
Ben Sinclair, Aimee Christian, Abi Sinclair, Alex Bell and Max Hammal were in action on Saturday morning, competing against the striking backdrop of Glasgow’s Emirates Arena.
Ben Sinclair advanced to the semi-finals of the 200m, posting a time of 22.88, while Max Hammal produced a solid middle-distance run, finishing the 1500m in 4:33.09.
Scottish Championships
In the 800m, both Alex Bell and Abi Sinclair progressed confidently through to their respective finals, underlining their consistency at championship level.
Aimee Christian impressed across multiple events, recording 9.72 in the 60m hurdles before backing it up with a 27.3 run in the 200m from the challenging inside lane.
However, the weekend was not without its challenges. Severe Irish Sea storms have left several of the athletes stranded in the UK, adding to what many involved are describing as one of the toughest winters they can remember.
Despite the disruption, the performances in Glasgow provided a positive highlight in difficult conditions.
