There will be slow moving vehicles along the TT course this week as the weed spraying gets underway.
Vehicles from the Department of Infrastructure started today (July 16) weed-spraying along the verges of the various roads that make up the lower section of the TT course between Douglas, Ballacraine, Kirk Michael and Ramsey.
Towards the end of the week there will also be a contractor undertaking hand spraying at various points on this route.

The DoI says: “It is difficult to predict when exactly the weed-spraying will be completed as this activity can only be undertaken in dry weather and the forecast for the coming days is somewhat variable.”
Hedge cutting will be undertaken along this route from next week.
Initially this will focus on areas within speed limits, however de-restricted areas will be cut from July 28 under a series of temporary speed restrictions.
This work is to be completed on or before August 12.
