The IoM Billiards and Snooker Association has sent a four man team to the Home International Snooker competition.
Darryl Hill, Dollin Mercer and Marek Kenny, who played last year, will fly the Manx flag at the competition which starts today and runs to Monday.
Joining the trio will be Conor Mahon, who is making his debut at this level after a fantastic season.
The IOM BSA said: “Strangely, the draw has thrown up exactly the same opponents as last year where we again start our campaign against a young Scottish team.
“This tie in 2023 was particularly memorable as it ended 7-5 in favour of IoM after Peter Crellin cleared the colours to confirm a famous win. Let’s hope for a similar result this time around, but realistically we have to accept match wins at this level are rare!”

The team will face reigning champions Wales A at 3pm Saturday before an early 10am start on Sunday to take on England B, this match will be utilising the live-streamed table 1, so there’ll be a chance to see one of the team in action.
The team will be managed by Ken Kinrade and Dave Kelly, who has recently qualified as a grade 2 referee, will be officiating.
Daily updates will be made on the Association’s Facebook page and there’ll be a daily livestream showing the action from Table 1 on the HIBSF Youtube page.
