Moving away from the Parish Walk, there have been some fantastic performances at the opposite end of the distance spectrum.
Meghan Pilley, competing in the Stratford Speed Grand Prix in London, has become the third Manx woman in history to run a sub-12 100 metres with a time of 11.99 seconds.
She also set a 200m pb of 25.02 seconds
And, at the Northern League match at Trafford, Aimee Christian has broken Cheryl Done’s long standing Isle of Man 400 metres hurdles record with a time of 63.7 seconds, a great achievement.
