Steam Packet Holidays has been appointed headline sponsor and travel partner for this year’s Isle of Man Youth and Junior Cycling Tour 2024.
The tour is being held around the island on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 4 and 5.
The partnership will see Steam Packet Holidays offer ferry and accommodation packages to participants and their families, as well as travel vouchers as Tour prizes. Steam Packet Holidays is also providing transportation and accommodation assistance to the event organisers for the numerous officials required to host such a large and complex event.
Richard Fletcher of the Youth and Junior Tour organising team said: ‘We cannot thank the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and Steam Packet Holidays enough for sponsoring our event. The Tour is very special to us, as the Isle of Man is the training ground of elite athletes, such as Tour de France sprint legend Mark Cavendish, London Olympic Gold Medallist Peter Kennaugh and professional riders Lizzie Holden, Mark and Anna Christian amongst others. It’s fantastic to showcase inspiring local athletes for our young sports people to look up to.’

We believe this partnership will not only support the Cycling Tour but also, the Manx economy, through increasing visitor traffic.’
The well-established and popular competition regularly attracts over 500 visitors to the Isle of Man to compete, volunteer or spectate over the two day event.
