STEMFest 2026 has welcomed students from every primary school on the island for the first time, with more than 840 Year 5 and 6 pupils taking part in the event.
Sponsored by Danucore, the annual showcase gives young people hands‑on experience of science, technology, engineering and maths through activities designed by local businesses.
This year, 27 organisations delivered sessions ranging from coding robots and exploring AI to bridge‑building, wildlife surveys and renewable energy demonstrations.

Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston said seeing all 33 primary schools represented was “a fantastic achievement”, adding that the involvement of local businesses helped students connect classroom learning with real‑world careers.
Danucore founder Rob Halliday‑Stein said the company was proud to sponsor the event, noting how quickly students engaged with generative AI and how much his own team learned from working with them.
Teachers also praised the opportunity for pupils to apply their skills in practical settings and meet industry professionals.
