Manx Care says strikes by resident doctors in England may result in appointments off-island being disrupted.
The British Medical Association (BMA), the trade union and professional body for doctors in the UK and Isle of Man, has confirmed that industrial action by resident doctors in England will begin on FridayJuly, lasting five days.
Manx Care said: “This is likely to affect planned appointments and operations as Consultant doctors are asked to cover the duties of resident doctors.
“Our tertiary partners across Merseyside are currently planning the impact of the strikes and have advised they will contact people directly if their appointment is to be rescheduled.”
Patients have been urged: “If you are not contacted, please assume that your appointment is going ahead and attend as normal.”
