Douglas crews have dealt with a fire on Lhergy Cripperty in Union Mills.
Thee road was not passable for a short time this evening.
The Fire Service said: “At approximately 9:25pm this evening two fire appliances from Douglas Station and the Duty Officer were mobilised by ESJCR IOM – Emergency Services Joint Control Room to reports of a structure fire in Union Mills.
“On arrival the Incident Commander quickly tasked a team of two Firefighters in Breathing Apparatus to extinguish a growing fire within the property, the team then cleared the building to confirm it was empty. Crews were in attendance for approximately 35 minutes.”
