Take a Farm Tour

People will have the opportunity to take a guided trailer tour of the award-winning Ballafayle Farm in Maughold tomorrow (September 1).

This farm tour spans from just above the water’s edge to several hundred meters above sea level, offering breath-taking coastal views of the north of the island.

Led by farmer Anna Kerruish and her passionate team, the tour will showcase their diverse sheep breeds, conservation efforts, and more.

Earlier this year, Anna received the FWAG Isle of Man Bronze Chough Award for her exceptional conservation work and community engagement, particularly through her social media and online activities with school groups.

The event on Sunday is hosted by FWAG Isle of Man and starts at 1pm at Ballafayle Farm in Maughold.

FWAG’s Paul Fletcher said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and learn about Anna’s inspiring farming life. You’ll also experience amazing views and discover a wide range of bird and plant life, especially in unique habitats.”

The tour, coinciding with “Love Lamb Week,” will end with a delicious slow-cooked lamb bap tasting. To make your day even more special, you can use the Manx Electric Railway, which has a request stop at Ballafayle!
