Teen Accused of Peel Stabbing

A 17-year-old has appeared in court this morning charged with wounding with intent after an incident in Peel which left a woman with eight stab wounds.

Dylan Craig Minton, from Peel, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood this morning.

The court heard that the incident on Wednesday evening resulted in the woman receiving eight wounds to her arm, abdomen, groin, leg and back.

It is alleged by the prosecution that Mr Minton is responsible for those injuries during an alleged meeting between the pair in a wooded area near QEII High School.

It was said the woman was collected from the area and driven to hospital by a colleague, with hospital staff then ringing the police.

Mr Minton has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

No pleas were entered and the case was adjourned until Tuesday September 17 to allow for Mr Minton to seek legal advice.

No bail application was made and due to his age, Mr Minton was remanded at Cronk Sollysh.
