Thomson to Ride Pre-TT Classic

Grant Thomson says he will contest the Pre-TT Classic after x-rays proved he has in fact not broken his ankle.

He had previously said he had suffered a broken left ankle following a crash during Superstock qualifying at the North West 200.

However, a follow up check when getting back to the island revealed there is no fracture.

He said: “After getting back to the Isle of Man on Sunday I went for more X-rays on my ankle as I didn’t trust what I had been told.

“I’m happy to say there are no broken bones so I was taken out my cast that’s day. I have spent the past few days in physio and the hyperbaric chamber which have been going well.

” am delighted to announce that I will be racing the pre tt classic next weekend onboards the IOM Bike Storage/Gorilla Racing 600 steelie and also the Duckshaw racing 750.

“I want to say and massive thank you to my mum, Immy and all the team for helping me this week and fingers crossed we can have a good run out next week.”
