It looks like Tim Shallcross may not have been the first local to complete the European Super Half Series.
I am told that Tom Quirk, a Ramsey resident, completed the series in April this year, and in the process raised a huge sum of money for local mental health charity Isle Listen.
When he started the series in early 2023 it was a five-race series, until Berlin was added this year. However Tom made up for that by also completing the Manchester Marathon during that time.
Who was the first doesn’t really matter – both are brilliant achievements!
